Biography:

Subodh Bhave is a multifaceted Indian artist known for his contributions to Marathi cinema as an actor, writer, producer, and director. Celebrated for his performances in both commercially successful and critically acclaimed films, Bhave is particularly recognized for his roles in Ani… Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar, Balgandharva, and Katyar Kaljat Ghusali.

Recently, he gained popularity for his portrayal of Vikrant Saranjame aka Gajendra Patil in the Zee Marathi series Tula Pahate Re. Born on November 9, 1975, in Pune, Bhave now resides in Mumbai. He graduated from Symbiosis College of Arts and Commerce in Pune with a degree in M.Com. Before transitioning to acting, Bhave worked as a salesman for Inika Technologies, an IT company in Koregaon Park, Pune. In 2001, he married his childhood friend Manjiri Bhave, and they have two sons, Kanha and Malhar.

Bhave has an extensive career in Marathi television, film, and theatre. Notable roles include his portrayal of Bal Gangadhar Tilak in Lokmanya: Ek Yugpurush, a biopic about one of India’s prominent social reformers. His performance as Balgandharva in the film Balgandharva, based on the life of the artist Narayanrao Rajhans, also received acclaim.

Additionally, Bhave directed and played a supporting role in the play Katyar Kaljat Ghusali. In 2015, he adapted this play into a film, where he reprised his role as Sadashiv, contributing to one of the highest-grossing Marathi films of the year. His work in the TV show Tula Pahate Re, alongside Gayatri Datar and Abhidnya Bhave, has been a notable success, with a unique storyline and Bhave’s compelling acting driving high TRP ratings.
