Smruthi Venkat

Biography:

Indian actress Smruthi Venkat primarily works in Tamil-language movies. With the 2019 release of the commercially successful film Thadam, she made her acting debut.

Smruthi began her acting career in the 2015 movie Indru Netru Naalai in an uncredited part. In Thadam, Smruthi Venkat made an appearance with Arun Vijay. Both critical and commercial evaluations of the film were positive when it first came out. The critic for The News Minute stated, “Despite having little on screen time, Smruthi’s skillful performances make an impact. Following Thadam, she acted in Theerpugal Virkapadum, a delayed release 2021 Tamil movie starring Sathyaraj. Following that, Smruthi signed on for a significant part in Mookuthi Amman.

Following the box office triumph of Mookuthi Amman, Smruthi landed a role in Dhanush’s 43rd movie, Maaran, which was helmed by Karthick Naren. Outside of movies, Smruthi has appeared in commercials for brands including Tanishq, Kalyan Jewellers, Levista coffee, and Rap Rakesh Sethulingam’s “12 AM” music video, which features the actor Vijay Sethupathi performing a song on woman empowerment.
