Sivaangi Krishnakumar, affectionately known as Sivaangi, is a versatile Indian artist, renowned for her talents as an actress, playback singer, and television personality. Born on May 25, 2000, she has made a significant impact in the world of entertainment, particularly in the Tamil film and television industry.

Sivaangi’s rise to prominence began in 2019 when she participated in the singing competition “Super Singer 7,” which was broadcast on Star Vijay. This early venture into the spotlight paved the way for her subsequent achievements. In 2020, she gained widespread popularity through her role in the comedy-cooking show “Cooku With Comali,” where her engaging and humorous persona resonated with audiences.

Hailing from a family deeply rooted in the arts, Sivaangi is the daughter of Kalaimamani award-winning parents, K. Krishnakumar and Binni Krishnakumar. Her father is a singer and musicologist, while her mother is a playback singer, and both have left their indelible mark on the industry.

Sivaangi’s artistic journey extended beyond television. She made her mark in the Tamil film industry as well. Her debut as a playback singer in the Tamil film “Pasanga” in 2009 with the song “Anbaale Azhagaagum” showcased her musical talents.

In her cinematic foray, Sivaangi made her acting debut in the film “Don” in 2022, playing a supporting role. Subsequently, she was cast in the film “Naai Sekar Returns,” where she shared the screen with renowned actor Vadivelu in another supporting role.

Sivaangi’s early life saw her born in Trivandrum, Kerala, to a Malayali mother and Tamil father. Her academic journey led her to Chennai, where she completed her schooling at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Virugambakkam, and later earned a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women, Chennai. Her college days marked the beginning of her venture into the music industry.
