Shiva Hariharan is an Indian actor predominantly active in the Malayalam film industry. Originally from the town of Palakkad in Kerala, Shiva began his artistic journey by creating short films that were featured on Nalaya Iyakkunar, a popular reality show on Kalaignar TV known for spotlighting emerging filmmakers and actors. His path to recognition was shaped by perseverance, as he initially took on smaller roles and lesser-known projects.
His breakthrough performance came with Hridayam (2022), directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan and starring Pranav Mohanlal. Released during the challenging period of the COVID-19 pandemic, the film garnered widespread acclaim, and Shiva’s contribution was well-received.
Following this success, Shiva continued to build a diverse portfolio with notable roles in Christopher (2023), Maheshum Maruthiyum (2023), and Thrishanku (2023). Expanding beyond cinema, he took on the character of Sundar Shridhar—an ambitious IAS aspirant—in the widely praised TVF web series Aspirants, further showcasing his versatility as an actor.
Before pursuing a full-time career in acting, Shiva worked as a Drilling Engineer at a multinational corporation. He is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from Calicut University, exemplifying a rare blend of technical education and artistic passion.
