Indian film director Satish Kasetty, who was born as Kasetty Sathyanarayana and is occasionally credited as K. Sathyanarayana, primarily works in the Telugu cinema business.
At the 54th National Film Awards, Kasetty’s 2006 Telugu film Hope, for which he received the National Film Award for Best Film on Other Social Issues, is well-known.
The movie addressed the issue of adolescent suicides brought on by peer pressure and the strain that the educational system places on them. Together with Venkata Subbiah, who produced the movie Policherla, he shared the honor.
For “focusing on the need to re-examine the current education system that leads many young people to commit suicide,” the jury gave the film the award.
Kalavaramaye Madilo, a musical romantic film, was released by Kasetty in 2009.
It was voted the third greatest film and took home the coveted “Nandi” award. The song “pallavinchani” helped Chitra, the Nightingale of South India, win the best singer award. The main character in this movie, portrayed by actress Swati Reddy, has a dream of singing for A. R. Rahman.
The movie received three out of five stars and the adjective “appealing” from Rediff.com’s review. The most recent film that Satish produced was Terror, a thriller starring Srikanth. After that, the movie was released in February 2016 to positive reviews.
Prior to becoming a director of motion pictures, Kasetty worked as a choreographer, fashion photographer, event coordinator, and commercial filmmaker. Additionally, he was on the 59th National Film Awards jury.
