Biography:

Saqib Saleem Qureshi, an Indian actor and model, has made a mark in the Hindi film industry. Initially starting his career as a model, he transitioned to acting after relocating to Mumbai. His journey began with appearances in various advertisements, sparking his interest in the world of cinema. This led him to audition for film roles, eventually landing a two-film contract with Y-Films, a subsidiary of Yash Raj Films (YRF).

Qureshi’s debut came with the romantic comedy Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge in 2011, where he earned praise for his performance and garnered a Filmfare Award nomination for Best Male Debut. He followed this success with another hit, Mere Dad Ki Maruti, completing his contract with Y-Films. His versatility as an actor was showcased in the experimental anthology Bombay Talkies, where he portrayed a closeted homosexual character directed by Karan Johar. Qureshi’s career soared further with his role in the action thriller Race 3 in 2018, which became his highest-grossing film to date.

Beyond acting, Qureshi is actively involved in charitable work and holds several endorsement deals. He also participates in the “Mumbai Heroes” team in the Celebrity Cricket League. Recently, his interest in stand-up comedy has grown, fueled by his upcoming role in the rom-com “Comedy Couple,” set against the backdrop of the burgeoning stand-up comedy scene in Gurgaon.

Born on April 8, 1988, in Delhi, India, Qureshi hails from a family with ties to the restaurant business. His father, Saleem Qureshi, manages a chain of restaurants called Saleem’s, while his mother, Ameena Qureshi, is a homemaker. Qureshi has a sister, Huma Qureshi, and two brothers, Naeem Qureshi and Haseen Qureshi. Fashion designer Varun Bahl, a close friend, played a pivotal role in helping him secure auditions for Yash Raj Films.
