Sachin Warrier, an Indian playback singer and composer in the Malayalam film industry, hails from Kerala and gained prominence with his song “Muthuchippi Poloru” from the film Thattathin Marayathu. Born in Calicut and raised in Kottakkal, Malappuram district, he completed his engineering studies at FISAT, Angamaly, Kerala.
His journey into playback singing began while he was still in college, making his debut in the movie Malarvaadi Arts Club in 2010. Subsequently, while working as a software engineer at Tata Consultancy Services in Kochi, Sachin continued his musical pursuits. He lent his voice to several notable films including Neram, Left Right Left, Thira, Rasputin, Philips and the Monkey Pen, and Bangalore Days. However, his passion for music eventually led him to resign from his IT job in late 2014, allowing him to focus entirely on his musical endeavors.
Transitioning into an independent musician, Sachin ventured into composing for advertisements and creating music independently. In 2015, he released his debut single titled ‘Naam,’ meaning ‘us’ in Malayalam, which premiered on the Pepsi MTV Indies channel.
His breakthrough as a composer came with the movie Aanandam released in 2016, marking his debut as a music director in the film industry.
