Sabumon Abdusamad

Biography:

Sabumon Abdusamad, known by his mononymous name Sabumon, is an Indian actor and television presenter prominent in Malayalam cinema. Born in Kayamkulam, Alappuzha, Sabu holds three graduate degrees, in Malayalam, Journalism, and Law respectively from University College, Trivandrum. Initially, he worked in the sales and operations division of Lufthansa Airlines in Saudi Arabia before pursuing his passion for acting. He is married to Sneha Bhaskaran and is a father to two daughters.

Sabumon gained early recognition through the TV show “Tharikida,” known for its pranks on unsuspecting individuals, earning him the nickname “Tharikida Sabu.” He continued his television career, notably receiving praise for his role as an interviewer in the show “Midukki.”

His breakthrough came as the thirteenth contestant in the inaugural season of the Malayalam reality show “Bigg Boss,” hosted by actor Mohanlal. Sabumon emerged as the winner after enduring the entire 98-day duration of the show, triumphing over other finalists in the grand finale.

Beyond his television career, Sabumon is also involved in production, owning his production company, SAB Productions.
