Roshan Kanakala, born on March 15, 2000, is an Indian actor recognized for his roles in “Bubblegum” (2023) and “Nirmala Convent” (2016). He is the son of actor Rajeev Kanakala and actress Suma Kanakala, and he has a younger sister named Manaswini Kanakala.
Roshan received training in method acting at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in Los Angeles, United States. Additionally, he worked as an assistant to director Anish Kuruvilla.
His acting career began as a child artist in the 2016 Telugu film “Nirmala Convent,” which starred Roshan Meka and Shriya Sharma in lead roles, with Akkineni Nagarjuna in a significant role.
Roshan’s mother, Suma Kanakala, is renowned for hosting 3319 episodes of the long-running Telugu game show “Star Mahila” on ETV Telugu, which aired from 2007 to 2021, with a brief hiatus in 2019-2020.
Director SS Rajamouli unveiled the first look of Roshan Kanakala’s upcoming film “Bubblegum” on October 6, 2023. Roshan stars opposite Maanasa Choudhary in the movie, which is directed by renowned filmmaker Ravikanth Perepu, known for “Kshanam” (2016) and “Krishna and His Leela” (2020).
