Ron Scalpello

Biography:

Ron Scalpello is a British filmmaker who is a director, producer, and screenwriter. He works mainly in the genres of feature films, television, commercials, and music videos. Ron Scalpello’s initial career was that of a music journalist, but he studied films and joined the BBC where he worked as an in-house director. He subsequently worked on several award-winning commercials and music videos, one of which was “Voodoo People” for The Prodigy and became known for his dynamic and emotionally driven visuals.

Ron Scalpello’s first feature-length directorial venture was “Offender” (2012), followed by “Pressure” (2015) – an underwater thriller, “My Name is Lenny” (2017) – a biographical sports drama, and “The Corrupted” (2019). Ron Scalpello then turned to television by working on a historical drama TV series called “Taj: Divided by Blood” (2023). Ron Scalpello is recognized by his gritty visuals and emotionally engaging stories along with realistic depiction of flawed characters.
