Ravishankar Gowda, born on August 26, 1973, is an Indian actor renowned for his work in the Kannada film industry. He is widely recognized for his comedic prowess both on television and in films.
Gowda gained immense popularity for his portrayal of Dr. Vittal Rao in the beloved Kannada sitcom “Silli Lalli,” which aired on ETV Kannada. This iconic show ran for over 1,100 episodes, showcasing Gowda’s comedic talent to audiences across Karnataka.
Transitioning from television to the silver screen, Gowda made his mark with a lead role in the 2008 film “Payana.” He further showcased his versatility by portraying a deaf character in the 2012 film “Snehitaru.” Some of his other notable film credits include “Nanjangud Nanjunda” (2010), “Akka Pakka” (2013), “Mangana Kaiyalli Manikya” (2013), and “Jai Lalitha” (2014).
