Rajiv S Ruia is an Indian film director and writer, who began his career in television as an associate director and editor. He also ventured into creating music videos, directing over 200 of them and introducing numerous talented individuals to the industry.
His debut major success was with the film My Friend Ganesha, which became India’s first composite animation movie and quickly gained popularity among children, airing over a thousand times on TV. He continued this success with sequels My Friend Ganesha 2, My Friend Ganesha 3, and My Friend Ganesha 4.
Another notable film he directed was Main Krishna Hoon, featuring Juhi Chawla, with Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif in cameo appearances. Born on August 5th, Rajiv hails from a Rajasthan family but was raised in Mumbai.
He attended Fatima Devi English High School and earned a diploma in Software Engineering and Photo Designing from S.M. Lal College in Mumbai. Passionate about filmmaking, he began learning film editing at 16 and worked as an assistant director with veteran filmmakers Vijay Reddy and Raman Kumar for seven years, honing his skills in writing and directing.
