Biography:

Rachita Arora is a notable figure in the Indian film industry, recognized for her roles as both a singer and a music composer. She is most renowned for her exceptional work in the Anurag Kashyap film, “Mukkabaaz.” Rachita originally hails from Delhi and possesses training in Hindustani classical music.

Her journey in the world of music began with composing music for theatrical productions in Delhi. While in Mumbai, she had the opportunity to meet Makarand Deshpande at Prithvi Theatre, who was impressed by her talent and invited her to create music for one of his projects, “Epic Gadbad,” marking his 50th original play.

Rachita’s entry into the world of cinema started with her involvement in the film “Newton,” starring Rajkummar Rao. Prior to venturing into the film industry, Rachita had already made a name for herself by composing music for various theater productions. Additionally, she contributed her musical expertise to the documentary “Mumbai Paani Mafia,” which aired on Discovery Channel India.

It was through Deshpande that she was introduced to renowned filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. This collaboration led to Rachita composing the music for Kashyap’s film “Mukkabaaz.” Their creative partnership continued with Rachita lending her voice to the music of the film “Choked.”
