Biography:

Actor Rasipuram Subramaniyan Iyer Manohar (29 June 1925 – 10 January 2006) played a variety of roles, including comic, villainous, and hero. at 1925, he was born at Namakkal. He appeared in more than 200 movies.  He is renowned for his adaptability and commanding demeanor. Because of his passion for stage plays and his unwavering determination to perform mythical plays for the rest of his life, he is also known as Nadaga Kavalar.

Rasipuram On June 29, 1925, Subramaniyan Iyer Manohar was born in Rasipuram, which is now in the Namakkal district of Tamil Nadu, as R. S. Lakshminarasimman. Rajalakshmi Ammal and Subramaniyan Iyer. After starring in the school play Manohara, he was given the name Manohar. He received his degree from Chennai’s Pachaiyappa’s College.

Film historian Randor Guy claims that when Manohar worked in the Postal Department after graduating, he received his first break in movies with Rajambal (1951). He was hired by producer R. M. Krishnaswamy to play the movie’s protagonist. As his name was not “filmi”, it was changed to R. S. Manohar.

Manohar participated in stage productions on a regular basis while attending college. He started working in cinema after graduating. Aruna Films produced his debut feature, Rajamabal. In films like Vannakkili, Kaidhi Kannayiram, Vallavanukku Vallavan, Vallavan Oruvan, and Iru Vallavargal, he played early, noteworthy roles.

The unpleasant roles that Manohar portrayed, particularly in films like Ayirathil Oruvan, Ulagam Suttrum Valliban, Pallandu Vazhga, Adimai Penn, Kaavalkaaran, and Idayakkani, are what people remember him for the most.

Manohar’s enormous contributions to Tamil theater are also remembered. Manohar was the one who elevated theater to a new level after Nawab Rajamanikkam. He performed in 7,950 performances of 31 plays, the majority of which were adaptations or interpretations of historical events or mythological tales.
