R. S. Durai Senthilkumar

Biography:

Indian film director, screenwriter, and lyricist R. S. Durai Senthilkumar is currently employed in the Tamil cinema industry. Before making his directing debut with Ethir Neechal (2013), starring Sivakarthikeyan, Priya Anand, and Nandita, Senthilkumar assisted Vetrimaaran in his role as assistant director. Senthilkumar won the 2014 Vijay Award for Best Crew for the movie, which had music created by Anirudh Ravichander and was released on May 1, 2013, to great reviews from reviewers.

His next project, Kaaki Sattai (2015), starred Sivakarthikeyan once more and had music created by Anirudh. Prabhu, Sri Divya, and Vijay Raaz also starred. The plot centers on an honorable police constable who seeks to establish his credibility as a real, strong police officer by preventing an illicit organ donation scheme while also resolving concerns of corruption in the department of police’s law and order system. The 2016 movie Kodi, starring Dhanush, Trisha, and Anupama Parameswaran, was Senthilkumar’s next endeavor. Santhosh Narayanan composed the music for the film, which tells the story of two twin brothers, one of them is a brazen politician and the other a calm, rational teacher who is compelled to enter politics to exact revenge on his twin brother’s killer.

This was Dhanush’s debut film in which he played two characters. Critics’ reactions to the film, which debuted on October 28, 2016, ranged from mediocre to good.
