Biography:
Prasanth Pandiyaraj is an Indian film maker, writer and director who operates mostly in Tamil cinema and digital entertainment. He made his directorial debut with the comedy movie Bruce Lee (2017) that stars G. V. Prakash Kumar but later became more known for his work in the OTT space. He gained popularity with the crime thriller web series Vilangu (2022) for ZEE5 that was created, written and directed by Prasanth. The movie, starring Vemal, tells the story of rural police officer who investigates a complicated criminal case and was praised for its realism in showing the process of police investigations, well-developed characters and great screenplay.
After the success of Vilangu, Prasanth kept developing character-based stories in his Tamil family drama Maaman (2025), starring Soori and Aishwarya Lekshmi, that he wrote and directed.
Recognized as a director of films that feature realistic depiction of rural areas, great character development and emotional narrative, Prasanth Pandiyaraj is a promising filmmaker of modern Tamil entertainment.
