Biography:
Prarthana Goswami is an Indian director, writer, script supervisor, and filmmaker whose expertise lies in Hindi movies and digital entertainment. Goswami started her career as an assistant director on several Bollywood movies like Band Baaja Baarat, Aisha, Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, and Delhi in a Day. She gained recognition by becoming a respected script and continuity supervisor. She has worked a lot with director Kabir Khan in films Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Phantom, Tubelight, The Forgotten Army – Azaadi Ke Liye, and ’83.
She made her directorial debut in an Assamese short movie called The Wait (2021), which she directed, wrote, and produced. The movie was screened in various international film festivals and received acclaim for its touching depiction of life in rural Assam during the insurgency period of the 1990s. She later made the transition to directing web series episodes when she directed episodes in the Hindi thriller web series Gunaah Season 2.
Prarthana Goswami has successfully made the transition from behind the scenes to filmmaking and web series direction with her meticulous storytelling, screenwriting sensibilities, and emotionally rich stories.
