Biography:

Paris Laxmi born on 16th July 1991, Myriam Sophia Lakshmi Quinio, known professionally as Paris Laxmi, graced the world with her presence in Aix-en-Provence, France. Her parents, Yves Quinio, a talented drama artist and poet, and Patricia Quinio, a renowned sculptor, played a significant role in shaping her artistic journey. Her brother, Theo – Q.Narayan, a talented drummer specialising in both classical orchestra and Indian drums, also contributed to the family’s creative atmosphere. Paris Laxmi’s tryst with dance started before she could even walk, and her passion only intensified over time. Regular visits to India since the age of 5 allowed her to absorb the rich cultural essence of the country, leading to a harmonious blend of French and Indian influences in her upbringing.

Paris Laxmi’s personal life is intricately intertwined with her love for dance. She found her life partner in Kathakali dancer Pallippuram Sunil, whom she married on September 14, 2012, at the Vaikom Mahadeva temple in Kerala, India. Together, they have created a beautiful world where dance reigns supreme, establishing the Kalashakthi School Of Arts in 2012 and inaugurating the Kalashakthi Mandapam, a theatre cum-class-room, in 2014 in Vaikom, Kerala.

Paris Laxmi’s professional journey is a testament to her dedication and love for dance. She began her formal training in Bharatanatyam at the age of 9 under the guidance of Armelle Choquard and later from Dominique Delorme, both disciples of renowned gurus Sri V.S. Muthuswami Pillai and Padma Subrahmanyam. Her journey in dance also saw her training under Smt. Sucheta Chapekar in Pune and at Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam’s Nrithyodaya School of Dance in Chennai.
