She effortlessly transitioned between leading roles and maternal figures, sharing the screen with icons like Rajkumar, M.G. Ramachandran, and Sivaji Ganesan. Notably, she was the heroine in both Rajkumar’s and Sivaji’s debut films. Her dedication was recognized by the Tamil Nadu government with the prestigious Kalaimamani award. Starting on stage with mythological plays, Pandaribai made her film debut in 1943. She rose to fame in “Bedara Kannappa” (1954) opposite Rajkumar, portraying progressive women in films like “Sant Sakhu” (1955). Later, she transitioned to playing mothers, showcasing her versatility alongside actors who were once her peers.
