Noel Sean, born on November 28, 1982, is an Indian rapper and actor active in the Telugu film and music industry. He is renowned as the pioneer of rap in both the Telugu Music Industry and Tollywood. Additionally, he is recognized for his versatility as an actor, music producer, television host, radio jockey, lyricist, and composer. In 2020, he took part as a contestant in the Telugu reality TV show, Bigg Boss 4.
Born in Hyderabad to Samuel and Sarah, Noel Sean has three siblings. He pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts from SVCFA and found success as a web designer. He worked as a trainee for Cognizant before entering the film industry.
During his academic years, he crossed paths with renowned archery coach Pallela Ravishankar, who encouraged and guided him into the film industry. Ravishankar introduced him to Ramanand, the casting director for Teja, which led to his first on-screen appearance in the Telugu film “Sambhavami Yuge Yuge.” It was during this time that he met director Krishna, who later introduced him to the legendary music director M. M. Keeravani. This marked his breakthrough as a rapper in the Telugu movie “Vikramarkudu,” directed by S. S. Rajamouli. This milestone solidified his position as the ‘First Telugu Rapper.’
In 2007, he made his on-screen appearance alongside Charmy Kaur in the film “Mantra,” featuring the popular track “Maha Maha.” Concurrently, he ventured into radio jockeying for 93.5 Red FM, amassing a considerable fan following. He continued to take on notable roles in various significant projects, establishing himself as a versatile actor in the Telugu film industry.
In 2015, Noel’s career took a pivotal turn with his role as the antagonist Shankar in the movie “Kumari 21F,” produced by Director Sukumar. His performance received acclaim from both critics and audiences. He further expanded his horizons by debuting as a lead actor in the film “Naanna Nenu Naa Boyfriends,” opposite Hebah Patel. This film’s success added to his accomplishments. In 2020, he entered the Telugu reality TV show Bigg Boss 4, hosted by Nagarjuna Akkineni.
Noel Sean has produced numerous independent songs, releasing them on his official YouTube channel. He co-founded a Telugu band named ‘THE SHAKE GROUP’ with renowned lyricist Ananta Sriram. The band also includes singers like Ramya Behara, Mohana, Damini, Mounima, Adire Abhi, Aditya, and Arun. His recent video, a Despacito Telugu Cover alongside Ester Noronha, quickly gained popularity, crossing a million views in under two weeks. He also entered the Konkani music scene as a rapper through the Despacito Konkani Cover version by Ester Noronha.
