Biography:

Nitin Dubey, a versatile Indian talent, born on July 3, 1981, in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh, is recognized for his multifaceted contributions as a singer, composer, actor, and lyricist. His footprint extends from the local Chhattisgarh cinema scene to national-level music festivals and devotional programs, marking him as a prominent figure in the Indian music landscape.

Known for his impactful albums like “Hay Mor Chandni” and “Tain Deewani Main Deewana,” Nitin Dubey’s repertoire includes chart-topping songs such as “Raigarh Wala Raja,” “Hay Re Mor Kochaipan,” and “Ka Tai Rup Nikhare Chandani,” solidifying his position as a revered figure in Chhattisgarhi music. His accolades include a Best Playback Singer Award for his work in the film “Mr. Majnu” and several prestigious honors in folk music, including the Matni Ratna Award, Kala Amnol Ratna Award, Sai Aradhana Samman Award, and the Chhattisgarh Melody King Award. In 2023, he was honored with the Chhattisgarh Ratna award for his exceptional contributions to Chhattisgarhi music.

Nurturing his musical talents from a young age, Nitin Dubey’s journey began at seven, performing a patriotic song at his school, eventually competing and excelling in school and state-level music competitions. Influenced by his mother’s bhajans, his father’s folk music, and the melodies of playback legend Kishor Kumar, Dubey’s musical prowess developed under the guidance of his school teacher Gulabram Chauhan, learning classical ragas.

Educationally, he pursued his schooling at Maa Sarveshwari High School and Natwar Higher Secondary School in Raigarh, followed by graduation from Degree College at Guru Ghasidas University, Chhattisgarh.

Dubey marked his musical debut with the album “Tain Deewani Main Deewana” in 2001, which included the hit single “Manmohini He Gaon Ke Goriya.” His subsequent releases, including “Hay Mor Chandni” in 2005, further solidified his standing in Chhattisgarhi music. Notable accolades like the Mati Ratna Award and the Kala Amnol Ratna Award recognized his remarkable contributions to folk art.
