Nishanth Balakrishnan , born 8 June 1980, professionally known as Nishanth Sagar , is an Indian actor primarily active in the Malayalam film industry. Over his career, he has appeared in more than 50 films, playing roles as a hero, co-star, and antagonist.
Nishanth made his debut in 1997 with Vijay P. Nair’s Ezhunilappanthal, a film that remained unreleased. His first notable role came in 1999 with Devadasi, directed by Biju Varkey, during his time as a student. He gained wider recognition in 2000 when Lohithadas cast him alongside Dileep in the film Joker.
In 2008, Nishanth acted in the Indo-American film Pirate’s Blood, which featured Sunny Leone in the lead role. However, the movie was not released in India due to distribution issues. Beyond Joker, he is best known for his performances as Gopi in Thilakkam and Josekutty in Phantom.
