Nidhi Bisht is an Indian actress, filmmaker, and lawyer, and one of the earliest members of The Viral Fever (TVF). She worked with TVF from 2013 to 2020, first as a Creative Director and later as the Creative Head for Girliyapa from 2017 to 2020.
Born on October 21, 1985, Bisht studied at Delhi Police Public School and earned an LLB from Jamia Millia Islamia. After graduating, she worked at an IPR law firm and practiced law at the Delhi High Court for a year.
In 2009, she left her legal career to pursue a path in the entertainment industry, performing in various plays such as “The City of Djinns,” “Chainpur ki Daastan,” “Shit Happens,” “Once upon a Tiger,” “Dirty Talk,” “Holi,” “Shakespeare, Who?,” and “Ok Tata Bye Bye.”
Bisht joined The Viral Fever in 2013 as its only non-IIT graduate. She acted in “Chai Sutta Chronicles” in 2013, “Permanent Roommates” in 2014, “Umrika” in 2015, and “Phillauri” in 2017 alongside Anushka Sharma, Suraj Sharma, and Diljit Dosanjh.
In 2017, she starred in “Bisht, Please!,” a show about the misadventures of a good girl, which she co-wrote with Biswapati Sarkar and Devanshi S. She also appeared in “Bachelors,” the short film “Kanika” in 2018, and web series such as “TVF Tripling,” “ImMature,” and “The Making of…”.
Her film “Dream Girl,” released on September 13, 2019, was a blockbuster hit. Additionally, she played Megha Astana in the TVF original web series “Cubicles,” released in December 2019.
Her recent appearance was in the netflix series “Maamla Legal hai” where she played the role of a lawyer alongside actor Ravi Kishan. The series aired on netflix and received a lot of praise.
Bisht contributed to writing for “Permanent Roommates” (2016), “PA-Gals” (2017), and “Bisht, Please!” (2017). She also directed “PA-Gals,” served as the casting director for “TVF Pitchers,” and was an assistant director for “Permanent Roommates.”
