Nandagopal

Biography:

Nadella Nandagopal was an Indian cinema critic, editor, and journalist. Nadella Gopichand, Nadella Pratyagatma, and Koduru Kavitha were the three offspring of his marriage to Kalpana Devi, who was also from Repalle. with almost 40 years of expertise as a prolific publisher. Nandagopal participated in workshops on film journalism and was connected to Aluri Chakrapani, B. Nagi Reddy, and L. V. Prasad. During his time in politics and film, he was even very close to N.T.R., with Nandagopal constantly by his side. The Andhra Pradesh State Government presented him with two Nandi awards. For twelve years, he was even appointed President of the Censor Board of India. He was a member of CBFC and NFDC in the early stages of his career. At the 61st National Film Awards in 2013, he won the National Film Award for Best Book on film for his book about international film, Cinema Ga Cinema. On June 22, 2018, he passed away. He received two Nandi Awards.
