Nahas Hidhayath

Biography:

Nahas Hidhayath is an Indian filmmaker and screenwriter who was born on July 27, 1994. RDX (2023), an action thriller that became the third highest-grossing Malayalam film of the year, marked his directorial debut. At the Kerala Film Critics Association Awards, the movie also took up the Best Popular Film trophy. Starting out as an assistant director, Nahas Hidhayath collaborated with Basil Joseph on the 2017 Malayalam movie Godha.  He also had a small part in Dijo Jose Antony’s 2018 film Queen.

He created two short films in 2021, 14 Days of Love and Colour Padam, which starred Mamitha Baiju and became well-known on YouTube. The popularity of Colour Padam attracted Weekend Blockbusters, where he presented producer Sophia Paul with a story idea and they decided to work together on a big-budget theatrical production. This ultimately resulted in RDX (2023), an action thriller for which he co-wrote the screenplay, marking his directorial debut.

Critics gave RDX favorable reviews when it was released on August 25, 2023, and it went on to become a huge box office hit, earning over ₹100 crore globally. Ranking among the highest-grossing Malayalam films of all time, the movie was the third highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2023.  RDX took home the Best Popular Film prize at the 2023 Kerala Film Critics Association Awards.  On March 1, 2025, Nahas revealed that Dulquer Salmaan would star in his upcoming movie. The movie, titled I’m Game, started primary photography in May 2025. It is being produced by Wayfarer Films and is billed as a thriller with a sports theme.
