Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, commonly known as N.T. Rama Rao or NTR, was a legendary Indian actor, filmmaker, and politician. He was born on May 28, 1923, in Nimmakuru, Andhra Pradesh (now in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, India), and he passed away on January 18, 1996.
NTR is primarily celebrated for his contributions to the Telugu film industry. He was an iconic actor and is often referred to as one of the greatest actors in Indian cinema. His acting career spanned several decades, during which he appeared in over 300 Telugu films.

He became the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh three times, serving from 1983 to 1989, from 1989 to 1994, and briefly in 1995.
