Indian actor Mukul Dev Kaushal, born on September 17, 1970, works in both film and television. He is well-known for his work in Punjabi and Hindi movies, TV shows, and music albums. A few films in Bengali, Malayalam, Kannada, and Telugu include him as well. He was honored with the seventh Amrish Puri Award for acting excellence for his part in Yamla Pagla Deewana.
The Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi also provided him with training as a pilot.
In 1996, Mukul Dev made his television acting debut in the character of Vijay Pandey in the serial Mumkin. He has performed in the comic Bollywood countdown program Ek Se Badh Kar Ek on Doordarshan.
The same year Sushmita Sen was awarded Miss Universe, he made his acting debut in Dastak as ACP Rohit Malhotra. In a number of movies, including Qila (1998), Wajood (1998), Kohram (1999), and Mujhe Meri Biwi Se Bachaao (2001), he made an appearance. In the 2000s, he appeared in a number of television series, including Kahin Diyaa Jale Kahin Jiyaa (2001), Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii (2003, 2003), and Pyar Zindagi Hai (2003, 2003). He also took part in the dance competition show Kabhi Kabhii Pyaar Kabhi Kabhii Yaar (2008).
He has recently appeared in films like Yamla Pagla Deewana (2011), Son of Sardaar (2012), R… Rajkumar (2013), and Jai Ho (2014) in supporting roles.
Additionally, he presided over Season 1 of Fear Factor India.
