Actress Moses Ingram, whose real name is Monique Denise Ingram, is from the United States. Her most well-known performance was in the Netflix miniseries The Queen’s Gambit (2020) as Jolene. She received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Film for this performance. Her portrayal of Reva Sevander/the Third Sister in the Disney+ miniseries Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022) is another notable accomplishment.
Ingram was raised in a mixed family of six in Baltimore; her stepfather was employed in city operations, while her mother worked in childcare. Her mother and a Windsor Hills Elementary teacher signed her up for an after-school theatrical program when she was ten years old. After that, she went to the Baltimore School for the Arts, where she graduated in 2012.
Ingram enrolled at Baltimore City Community College in 2012 after turning down an offer to attend Howard University due to financial constraints. Her advisor urged her to keep acting and try out for local plays even though Baltimore City didn’t have a drama program. To pay for her education, she also accepted several part-time jobs and grants. She earned an associate’s degree upon graduation.
