Biography:

Monal Gajjar, an Indian actress and model, has made a significant mark in both Telugu and Gujarati cinema. Her journey began with the 2012 Telugu film “Sudigadu,” marking her debut and signaling the start of a promising career. Hailing from a Gujarati family in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Gajjar pursued commerce during her graduation and initially worked at ING Vysya Bank.

Her entry into the entertainment industry was serendipitous, prompted by her yoga teacher’s suggestion to participate in the Mirchi Queen Bee beauty pageant contest organized by Radio Mirchi in 2011, where she emerged as the winner. Subsequently, she claimed the Miss Gujarat title, showcasing her natural charm and talent.

Even before the release of her debut film, Gajjar had already signed five films, showcasing her rapid ascent in the industry. Her versatility was evident as she expanded her repertoire to include a Malayalam debut with “Dracula 2012” and a special appearance in a film by Asha Bhonsle.

Her foray into Tamil cinema was notable, with her first two Tamil films, “Vanavarayan Vallavarayan” and “Sigaram Thodu,” releasing on the same day, demonstrating her versatility and simultaneous presence in multiple regional film industries.

In 2021, she ventured into Hindi cinema with the Satish Kaushik-directed film “Kaagaz,” a satire on the governmental system in Bharat, showcasing her ability to transcend regional cinema and take on diverse roles across languages.
