Former Indian actress Mahalakshmi Sreenivasan, also known by her stage name Mohini, has starred in Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada films in South India.
Mahalakshmi, the birth name of Mohini, was in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu. She studied in Chennai at Children’s Garden Higher Secondary School.In 2006, Mohini became a Christian.
Mohini was a young performer. She played the small sister of the hero in the 1987 film Koottu Puzhukkal, which starred Raghuvaran and Amala. After making her adult film debut as a heroine in Eeramana Rojave, Mohini was chosen to star with Akshay Kumar in Dancer, the 1991 Hindi film that served as her sole feature film. She has worked with filmmakers like Hariharan, Kamal, and Singeetham Srinivasa Rao, appearing in over 100 films in all of the South Indian languages.
