Mayo Hitomi is a Japanese creator, entrepreneur, influencer and emerging actress who has built a unique connection between Japan and India. Known to many Indian audiences through her online identity Mayo Japan, she became popular for sharing Japanese culture, lifestyle, food and her experiences with India in an engaging and approachable way. Her interest in India began during her university years, when she studied Hindi and spent time in Delhi, eventually developing a deep appreciation for Indian languages and culture.

Mayo started creating YouTube content in 2017 and gradually developed a large audience, particularly among Hindi-speaking viewers. Her ability to communicate across cultures has become one of the defining features of her career. Beyond social media, she has also explored entrepreneurship, founding JAI Anime and later working through Mayo Studios to promote creative and cultural connections between Japan and India.
