Mathew Thomas, born on October 16, 2002, is an Indian actor known for his work in Malayalam cinema. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Franky in his first film, “Kumbalangi Nights,” followed by roles as Jaison in “Thanneer Mathan Dinangal,” Jomon in “Jo and Jo,” and Siddarth in “Leo.”
Thomas earned his role in “Kumbalangi Nights” (2019) through a school audition. The film revolves around four orphaned siblings, with Franky being the responsible one among them. He underwent six months of training for the role, including swimming, football, and other activities depicted in the film. “Kumbalangi Nights” received both critical acclaim and commercial success.
Following his debut, Thomas starred as Jaison in “Thanneer Mathan Dinangal” (2019), a coming-of-age romance that received positive reviews. He also had cameo appearances in “Anjaam Pathiraa” (2020) and “Operation Java,” and played a supporting role in the film “One,” alongside Mammootty.
