Marlon Lamont Wayans is an American comedian, writer, producer, and actor who was born on July 23, 1972. In addition to his work alongside his brother Shawn Wayans on the WB sitcom The Wayans Bros. (1995–1999), he is most recognized for his roles in the comedy flicks Dance Flick (2009), White Chicks (2004), Little Man (2006), Scary Movie (2000), Scary Movie 2 (2001), and Don’t Be a Menace (1996).
A Haunted House (2013) and its sequel A Haunted House 2 (2014), Naked (2017), Fifty Shades of Black (2016), Sextuplets (2019), Above the Rim (1994), The 6th Man (1997), Norbit (2007), G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009), The Heat (2013), and On the Rocks (2020) are among Wayans’ previous film credits. In addition, he played a number of dramatic parts, such as in the 2000 psychological drama Requiem for a Dream.
Wayans and Randy Adams founded the online urban comedy venue What the Funny. He developed Funniest Wins, a comedy competition television program that debuted on TBS in 2014. Wayans and his brothers embarked on “The Wayans Brothers Tour” across the United States in 2014. He was a co-writer and star of the two-season NBC sitcom Marlon in 2017.
