Manimegalai is an Indian video jockey and television presenter who has about 15 years of experience in the Tamil television industry. She began hosting Sun Network shows on a regular basis in 2010 and joined Star Vijay in 2019.[2] She got supporters for speaking out despite the odds and for having the audacity to voice her opinions. She hosted shows on Vijay TV and took part in Cooku with Comali as a comali.
Businessmen Ramaayyappan and Jothimani welcomed Manimegalai into the world in the Tiruppur district of Tamil Nadu. Gunamani, her younger sibling, is a graduate in Visual Communications.
Manimegalai studied in Coimbatore until class three. She subsequently relocated to Chennai with her family and attended Shanthosh Vidyala Matriculation School to finish her education. She graduated from SRM University (Vadapalani Campus) with a dual MBA in HR and Finance.
She began appearing on Sun Music as a video jockey while she was a college student. In 2017, she married Hussain Shaik Kadhar, an assistant choreographer, the same year they met.
At the age of 17, Manimegalai made her video jockey debut on December 30, 2009, hosting her first show, Super Hits on Sun Music. After that, she presented live performances and reality shows on Sun Music, including Kollywood Diaries, Black, and Franka Sollata.
After anchoring a number of live shows and celebrity interviews, she became well-known as a television anchor.
Manimegalai received the World Human Integration Council’s Best Anchor award in 2016. Dr. K. Rosaiah, the governor of Tamil Nadu at the time, presented her with the prize. Her admirers dubbed her Anchor Superstar.
After working for Sun Network for nine years, she quit in January 2019 to join her husband on the Vijay Television reality show Mr. And Mrs. Chinnathirai.
Hussain and Manimegalai received praise for their final performance in Mr. and Mrs. Chinnathirai and were named second runners up. She then presented a reality show and a few special episodes on Vijay Television. Additionally, she was a Comali for three seasons on the cooking reality show Cooku with Comali. She later co-hosted the show with Rakshan in season 5.
