Madhur Mittal, born on February 20, 1991, is a talented Indian actor recognized for his versatile performances in both television and film. His career boasts an array of notable roles, earning him acclaim and recognition on the global stage.

Madhur Mittal’s journey in the world of entertainment began in Agra, India, where he was born. His initial foray into the limelight came in 1997 when he emerged as the winner of the popular reality-based dance show “Boogie Woogie” on television. Subsequently, his family relocated to Mumbai, where he attended AVM High School for his education. It was in Mumbai that Madhur’s passion for acting and dancing flourished, with his participation in charity shows, cultural events, and film-award ceremonies. Remarkably, he embarked on a global journey, performing in over 950 stage shows, showcasing his talent to diverse audiences worldwide.

As a child actor, Madhur Mittal graced the silver screen with appearances in well-known Hindi films such as “One Two Ka Four,” “Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye,” and more recently, “Say Salaam India.” Additionally, his television career flourished, with roles in popular TV shows like “Shaka Laka Boom Boom,” “Kasauti Zindagi Ki,” “Jalwa,” “Chamatkar,” “Prithviraj Chauhan,” and “Dastak.”

However, it was his role as Salim Malik in the critically acclaimed film “Slumdog Millionaire” (2008) that catapulted Madhur Mittal to international fame. The film not only won the Academy Award for Best Picture in 2008 but also earned Madhur recognition with the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. To prepare for the role of Salim, Madhur immersed himself in the world of the character, even spending time with “gangsters” in Mira Road to understand their mindset. He underwent physical transformations, including growing his hair long, tanning his skin, and losing weight, to portray Salim convincingly.

Madhur Mittal’s dedication to his craft continued to shine as he ventured into various projects, including the second series of “Kidnap and Ransom,” where he played Anwar Razdan. He also starred in the Disney film “Million Dollar Arm” as Dinesh Patel and received praise for his performance as a villain in “Maatr” (2017).
