Lushin Dubey is a theater performer and director from India. She has more than 20 years of experience directing, acting, and writing scripts for drama shows. In addition, Lushin is well-known for her solo plays, such as Untitled and Bitter Chocolate, which she co-wrote with theater director Arvind Gaur. Partition (2007), Murder Unveiled (2005), for which she received the 2006 Gemini Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Supporting Role in a Dramatic Program or Mini-Series [citation needed], and Perfect Husband are just a few of the movies in which she has contributed. She has performed in a few Hindi movies as well.
Lushin Keswani was her maiden name, and she was born into a Sindhi Hindu household. Her mother, Leela, was a gynecologist who served in the Indian Army, and her father, Govind Keswani, was an engineer with the Indian Railways. Her father called her after the Ilyushin, a Russian aircraft.
After earning a master’s degree in history from the Lady Shri Ram College for Women (LSR), University of Delhi, India, Lushin pursued an M.Sc. in Childhood and Special Education in the United States.
Lushin has two kids, Tara and Ilina, and is married. Ira, her niece, and Lillete, her sister, are also actresses. Patanjali is the name of her brother as well. Pradeep Dubey, her spouse, is an adjunct professor at Yale and a professor of economics at Stony Brook University. She acted alongside Barry John when she was a college student.
