Actor and writer Yellapragada Sowbhagya Krishneswara Rao is from India and appears in Telugu movies. He earned the Nandi Special Jury Award for his work as a beggar in the 2014 movie Chandamama Kathalu. Rao wrote several theatre plays in addition to appearing in more over 1500 of them.
He began his career as an artist while still in school. Vapas was his very first play. Later, he established himself in the theater. Because of his commitment to theater, he also missed out on job chances in the film industry. He was asked to compose dialogue for the movie Prachanda Bharatam by actor M. Prabhakar Reddy after seeing his play Roju Chastunna Manishi (The Man Who Is Dying Daily). Later he worked for films like Ankuram, Bhadrachalam, Sri Ramulayya, Jayam Manadera.
He is close with Jeeva, an actor. During the filming of Avunu Valliddaru Ista Paddaru!, Jeeva met the director Vamsy, who promised him a part in his upcoming movie. Later, he was cast in Konchem Touchlo Vunte Cheputanu by Vamsy.
He received praise for his portrayal of a beggar in Chandamama Kathalu as a strong character actor. Some people actually believed him to be a beggar while he was portraying that character in various places. He received favorable feedback from Krishna and Vijaya Nirmala.
