Kousalya

Biography:

Kousalya is a singer and composer from South Indian movies. She started singing in films in 1999 with a Telugu movie called “Nee Kosam.” She has sung more than 400 songs in Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada films.

After finishing her studies in Carnatic music at Sri Padmavathi Mahila University, Tirupathi, she’s now working on her music research.

Apart from singing, she also did voice dubbing for three movies, lending her voice to characters in films like “Sravanamasam,” “Bakara,” and “Cheekati Rajyam.” She composed a set of new songs called “Sri Annamayya Sankeerthana Sudha” released by Aditya Music.

Kousalya’s talent has earned her three Nandi Awards for Best Playback Singer, including one for her own composition in the TV show “Etv Adade Adharam.” Her diverse skills in music contribute significantly to South Indian cinema.
