Kit Harington

Biography:

English actor Christopher Catesby Harington, better known by his stage name Kit Harington, was born on December 26, 1986. His most well-known role was that of Jon Snow in the HBO fantasy television series Game of Thrones (2011–2019), for which he was nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards and Critics’ Choice Television Awards in addition to a Golden Globe.

The lead role of Albert Narracott in the West End production of War Horse marked Harington’s professional acting debut in 2009. He graduated from the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama. Since then, he has made a comeback to the West End, appearing in True West (2018–2019), Doctor Faustus (2016), The Children’s Monologues (2015), and The Vote (2015). In the 2022 revival of William Shakespeare’s Henry V, he played the title role. He played the lead in the 2024 London transfer of Slave Play, a play by Jeremy O. Harris.

In the 2017 BBC drama series Gunpowder, he played as Robert Catesby and served as its developer and producer. Additionally, he starred in the drama series Industry (2024) on HBO/BBC One, the Apple TV+ anthology series Extrapolations (2023), and the romantic comedy anthology series Modern Love (2021) on Amazon Prime Video. His acting credits include the period drama Testament of Youth (2014), the historical action drama Pompeii (2014), and the drama The Death & Life of John F. Donovan (2018). He voiced the dragon hunter Eret in the second and third installments of the How to Train Your Dragon movie series (2014–2019) and played Dane Whitman in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movie Eternals (2021).
