Biography:

Shankar Ezhumalai, widely known by his alias King Kong, is an Indian actor and comedian recognized for his supporting roles in Tamil language films. His career spans appearances in both cinema and television serials, and he is also known for his dancing skills. King Kong gained significant internet fame due to a viral video titled “Little Superstar,” featuring a clip from the film “Adhisaya Piravi” (1990) where he impressively dances in front of Rajinikanth.

King Kong’s contribution to Tamil cinema primarily revolves around his comedic supporting roles, and he has also ventured into television and stage performances as a dancer. The “Little Superstar” video, showcasing his breakdancing to MC Miker G & DJ Sven’s “Holiday Rap,” became a sensation on the internet during the late 2000s. It was widely shared on platforms like YouTube, Myspace, and featured on various television shows, making him a recognized figure in the digital realm.

Despite facing financial difficulties at one point in 2007, King Kong made a comeback in the film industry. He participated in dance sequences in films like “Pokkiri” and became a regular presence in Vadivelu’s comedy tracks in movies such as “Karuppusamy Kuththagaithaarar” (2007) and “Kanthaswamy” (2009). Additionally, he choreographed a dance number for a Doritos commercial aired in Canada and made appearances in shows like “Asian Provocateur.”
