Biography:

Kalairani is a highly acclaimed and experienced actress in the Tamil film industry. She has graced the stage as a performer in dramas like “Koothu-P-Pattari.” Her journey in cinema began in 1987 when she made her uncredited appearance in the film “Ninaika Therintha Maname.” She continued to showcase her talent in various roles, such as her performance in the 1997 film “Devathai,” where she portrayed a supporting character of a village woman. Her versatility was evident as she played Pugazh’s mother in the 1999 film “Mudhalvan” and also ventured into Telugu cinema with the 2000 film “Azad,” where she portrayed the mother of the protagonist, Nagarjuna.

One of her notable roles came in the 2000 film “Azad,” where she played Nagarjuna’s mother. Directed by Thirupathisamy and produced by C. Ashwini Dutt, this film featured a screenplay by renowned writers including the Paruchuri Brothers. It starred Shilpa Shetty, Soundarya, and Nagarjuna in leading roles, with music composed by Mani Sharma. The film garnered significant attention at the box office and received accolades.
