Shravan Rathod

Biography:

Shravan Rathod was an Indian music composer and one half of the popular Bollywood music director duo Nadeem-Shravan. He was born on November 13, 1954, and unfortunately, he passed away on April 22, 2021, due to COVID-19 complications.

Nadeem-Shravan, consisting of Nadeem Saifi and Shravan Rathod, was one of the most successful music composer duos in the Indian film industry during the 1990s and early 2000s. They provided music for numerous hit Bollywood films and created memorable songs that are still cherished by music lovers.

Nadeem Akhtar Saifi and Shravan had been friends since they first met in 1973 at a gathering. Their first project was the Bhojpuri film Dangal, which was made in 1973 and released in 1977. It contained the well-known Bhojpuri song “Kashi hile, Patna hile” performed by Manna Dey.In 1981, Amit Kumar’s song Maine Jeena Seekh Liya served as their first Hindi film job.

The group wrote the music for Star Ten, a commercial enterprise, in 1985. Ten performers from the Hindi film industry (including Mithun, Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Sachin, Danny, Vijendra, etc.) sung several songs with lyrics written by Anwar Saagar.[8] They fought for employment the entire time, and they hardly ever had the opportunity to write the score for an entire movie.

Some of their popular soundtracks include songs from movies like “Aashiqui” (1990), “Saajan” (1991), “Deewana” (1992), “Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke” (1993), “Raja Hindustani” (1996), “Pardes” (1997), and many more. Their music often featured melodious tunes and emotional lyrics that resonated with audiences.

Shravan Rathod’s death was a loss to the Indian music industry, and his work continues to be celebrated by fans and listeners.
