Jayasankar, popularly known by his stage name Kaarthik Shankar, was born on July 11, 1990. He is a multi-talented Indian filmmaker, writer, producer, editor, and actor hailing from Kerala. Renowned for his contributions to the Malayalam short film industry, Kaarthik has gained recognition for his works such as 6th Friday and the YouTube series Mom and Son.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in arts from NSS College, Pandalam, Kerala, and has also completed professional training in sound engineering, further enhancing his expertise in the field of filmmaking.
