Josie Trinidad

Biography:

Josie Trinidad was born in Los Angeles, California, to Filipino immigrants. Her mother was a nurse from Ilocos Norte, and her father was a doctor who was born in Laguna. She maintained regular communication with her Filipino family during her early years. “I come home a lot,” she said. I still have a few aunts in Mandaluyong, San Juan, and Las Piñas. We are a close-knit family and frequently cross paths.”

American director, voice actress, and storyboard artist Josie Trinidad is well recognized for her work at Walt Disney Animation Studios. After joining Disney in 2004, she worked on Wreck-It Ralph (2012), Tangled (2010), and The Princess and the Frog (2009). She was the head of story for Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018) and co-head of story for Zootopia (2016). With the TV show Zootopia+, she made her directorial debut.
