John Stewart Eduri is an Indian music composer renowned for his work in the Hindi film industry. His journey into music began at 16 when his father gifted a keyboard to his sister, sparking his passion for the craft. Setting aside his studies, he joined a studio in Vishakhapatnam, where he initially nurtured his skills. Gradually, he built his career and later ventured to Mumbai, where he became a studio engineer.
In Mumbai, he crossed paths with acclaimed composer duo Salim-Suleman, marking a pivotal turning point. Notably, his collaboration with Sonakshi Sinha on the action-packed and romantic film “Akira,” helmed by AR Murugadoss, proved to be a significant challenge. His association with hit Hindi movie “Dhoom” also added to his growing portfolio.
Working closely with Salim-Suleman, he contributed to 50 films before catching the attention of Vishal-Shekhar. They invited him to partake in programming for the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer “Ra.One,” a project that facilitated collaboration with an international orchestra in Prague.
Upon completing his work for “Ra.One,” Vishal-Shekhar introduced him to Dharma Productions. He subsequently lent his talents to Karan Johar’s “Student Of The Year.” This association led him to Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Productions, where he played a role in crafting the music for “Happy New Year.”
John Stewart Eduri consistently acknowledged Salim-Suleman for their mentorship and guidance, as well as Vishal-Shekhar for steering him toward the right opportunities.
