Joey Batey

Biography:

English actor, musician, singer, composer, and writer Joey Batey was born in 1989. He sings “Toss a Coin to Your Witcher” and other songs from the fantasy series The Witcher in which he plays the bard Jaskier. Newcastle upon Tyne is where Joey Batey was born. According to him, he was raised in a “musical family” and has always been surrounded by music. He attended L’École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq after earning a BA in Modern and Mediaeval Languages from Robinson College, Cambridge. He participated in a production of The Seagull with Simon Haines, Lily Cole, and Genevieve Gaunt while attending Cambridge, and he co-wrote and performed the humorous sketch show Good Clean Men with Alex Owen, Ben Ashenden, and Haines.
