Jim Reardon

Biography:

Jim Reardon is an American screenwriter and director of animation. His work on the animated television series The Simpsons is what made him most famous. In addition to being listed as a supervising director for seasons 9 through 15, he has directed more than thirty episodes of the show. Ralph Bakshi has called him “one of the best cartoon writers in the business.”

Growing up in Seaside, Oregon, Reardon completed his education at Seaside High School in 1983.Reardon took on odd tasks to support his mother and two sisters after his father passed away while he was a young boy.In 1987, Reardon earned a BFA from the California Institute of the Arts.The satirical cartoon Bring Me the Head of Charlie Brown (1986), one of his student work, has gained cult status.
