Jeon Seok-ho, born on May 2, 1984, made his screen debut with a minor role in the 2000 film Just Do It. He later appeared on television in the 2001 EBS drama School Story. In 2003, he enrolled in Hanyang University’s Department of Theater and Film, where his passion for theater grew under the guidance of his professors and seniors, solidifying his desire to pursue acting as a lifelong career.
In February 2010, Jeon, along with fellow Hanyang University alumni Park Dong-wook and director Park Seon-hee, traveled to India for a month, later collaborating on the stage play India Blog. Performed at the 80-seat Yeonwoo Theater in Daehakro, Seoul, in June 2011, the play became a box office success. Jeon reunited with Park Dong-wook and Park Seon-hee for Turkish Blues, a story of two friends navigating their youth and dreams. He also collaborated with them again in Bulryeongseon, a play co-directed by Park Seon-hee and Kim Byeong-ju, depicting the story of a young man in 2013 reflecting on the sacrifice of a historical figure, Dr. Kim Sang-ok.
In 2014, Jeon made his big-screen debut in Intruders, directed by Noh Young-seok, who cast him after seeing his performance in India Blog. The film, revolving around a group of strangers entangled in a mysterious murder case, was screened at the Busan International Film Festival. That same year, he gained wider recognition through the tvN drama Misaeng: Incomplete Life, playing Ha Sung-joon, a boss who torments his subordinate. His portrayal significantly contributed to the drama’s immersive experience for viewers.
In the fall of 2014, Jeon participated in the Yeonwoo Theater Company’s 63rd regular performance, Inside Himalaya, which depicted the journey of five men traveling together. He later joined the cast of Netflix’s Kingdom, portraying Cho Beom-pal, a timid magistrate who undergoes significant growth from the first to the second season.
In his personal life, Jeon married in May 2016 after a decade-long relationship. He and his wife welcomed a daughter on March 8, 2018.
