British actress Jasmine Jobson was born on May 9, 1995. Her most well-known roles are those of Lily in the 2020 feature film Surge and Jaq in the crime drama television series Top Boy (2019–2023). MobLand (2025), Bird (2024), Platform 7 (2023), and Noughts + Crosses (2022) are additional credits.
Jasmine Jobson was born in Hayes, West London, England, on May 9, 1995. Her father is Jamaican, and her mother is Irish and Greek-Cypriot. When Jobson was about six years old, she demonstrated her singing ability by imitating TV celebrities. Her mother then enrolled her in “Paddington Arts,” a youth arts organization that aims to foster creativity and talent in London’s youth, where Jobson developed her skills.
Jobson, who spent five years in foster care after requesting to be taken from her mother by social services as a kid, lived in West Drayton. However, Jobson taught herself how to use her emotions and aggression to her acting, and the consequences carried over into adulthood. In order to secure her place in the production, Jobson flung a chair across the room, almost striking a window, when the casting director urged Top Boy to display some fury during her audition.
She joined the Big House Theatre[2] after finishing her GCSEs, which focuses on assisting young people who have experienced the UK’s care system and offers drama-based seminars and training on team building, problems management, and confidence development. Jobson is an amazing talent, according to Big House CEO Maggie Norris.
