Raja Krishnamoorthy

Biography:

Raja Krishnamoorthy, better known by his stage name Kitty, is an Indian director, screenwriter, and actor who specializes mostly in the Tamil film business but has also worked on a few films in the Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi film industries. He has helmed movies such as Dasarathan (1993). In 1987’s Nayakan, directed by Mani Ratnam, he made his acting debut.

At the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies in Mumbai, he earned his master’s degree in management studies in 1975. As a Management Trainee and Personnel Officer, he began his career with Mukund Iron & Steel. He later worked for ITC Welcome Group as a Personnel Manager and Regional Personnel Manager before joining Enfield India Limited as General Manager (Human Resources).

He actively contributed to Polaris Software Lab Ltd., a 2600-person company, between June 2000 and March 2002 as a consultant and president of human resources. He served as the Division’s Principal Consultant at ProLease India Pvt. Ltd., a branch of the Interpro Group with headquarters in Washington, DC, from July 2002 to August 2005.

He currently oversees talent Maximus’ HRD department and the Consulting and Training Division.Kitty was referred to as “Chola” Krishnamurthy since she once served as the manager of the Chola Sheraton.He held the position of general manager at Enfield for a short time before leaving to pursue acting as a vocation.
